A burial at sea is a peaceful and beautiful option for scattering ashes. The location is the Sydney Harbour, a narrow passage between two towering sandstone cliffs. It is world-renowned for its iconic beauty, featuring the Harbour Bridge and Opera House and tiny inlets and bays surrounded by untouched bushland. The sparkling waters give the city a stunning allure, particularly on a sunny day when the water glistens like diamonds. Our water taxi offers a private area at the stern for scattering ashes, providing a tranquil space, and the experienced skippers are highly professional and discreet, ensuring you have the privacy and peace necessary to mourn and pay your respects.

$200 for 30 minutes of Scattering of Ashes in Sydney is plenty of time, and if you require additional time to perform a ceremony or ritual or simply just want more time, our prices are an additional $100 for every 15 minutes. You can pick either Farm Cove, Neutral Bay, or Athol Bay for that time frame. These areas all have beautiful views of the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and Sydney Botanical Gardens. Please see the map below for more understanding of the areas. Before scattering ashes, we suggest pre-loosening the container lid or drilling holes for easier removal; please do not worry if you are unsure; we will help you on the day. Scatter ashes near water and away from the wind. Empty the container into the sea and dispose of it responsibly; never throw it overboard. The price includes 10 passengers, and any more is $20 per person, payable on the day.
