Water Taxi Services to Handa Opera On Sydney Harbour
We are delighted to be offering a shared water taxi service to and from Handa Opera On Sydney Harbour on performance nights between 27th March and 3rd May 2026. Tickets for Phantom Of The Opera can be purchased from Opera Australia's website here.
The venue is open between 5.00pm and 10.30pm. So our services are scheduled for you to start arriving in time for when the gates open (first departure 5pm). For departures after the show (as Andrew Boy Charlton Pool is not accessible during the show), these will commence immediately after the show as each boat fills (about 10.20pm) and then they will run shuttle runs every 10/15 minutes until water taxi patrons stop appearing (at the latest by 11.00pm)
Transport Tickets
Tickets for our water taxis cost $15 each way and can be purchased online or on the night by cash or card, from our station at Man O War (map), by Sydney Opera House or after the Opera at our station at Andrew Boy Charlton Pool. You must show proof of purchase with a screen shot or a print out of the confirmed ticket bought online.

* This is a latecomers service and will get you to the Opera AFTER the start of the performance. Note that Patrons arriving late will not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance. This break may not be until interval.Patrons who are late may not be seated in their allocated seat

Timetable for departures after the show
Boarding will commence immediately after the end of the show at Andrew Boy Charlton Pool with boats going to Circular Quay (to the Eastern Pontoon near the Opera House). Departures will be approximately every 10 minutes, or as each boat reaches capacity. Last departure will be when no more guests appear (after a few minutes wait after last boarding) or 11.00pm.
Please note that Andrew Boy Charlton Pool and the Water Taxis are not wheelchair, or severe disability accessible.
